WHAT IS CLEAN ENERGY AND ITS BENEFITS

Energy which is produced from zero emission and renewable sources is clean energy. Clean energy does not pollute the atmosphere whenever used. Also, it saves energy by using energy efficiency machines and techniques. The power which is generated from the sources that do not emit any carbon-emissions and are purely clean in nature, comes in the category of clean energy.  Sources like wind energy, solar energy, hydropower, bioenergy, natural gas, and geothermal do not carry any air pollutants and therefore are clean energy sources. What is clean energy can be answered by simply explaining renewable energy.

Renewable energy gets replenished over a period of time that means it  is carried from resources that are bound to be endless. These sources are just the opposite of fossil fuels whose end is just unavoidable and also very near.

Sources of clean energy

  1. Solar Energy-  Through sunlight and heat, this pure and clean energy resource is obtained and can be utilized to convert electricity through equipment like solar energy panels or concentrating solar power plants.

  1. Wind Energy- It is another source of clean energy. Technically, wind energy is another form of solar energy since the sun is halfway responsible for all weather phenomenon's on the planet Earth and therefore wind energy.

  1. Bioenergy- If we deeply think about this form of renewable  energy, it's quite intriguing and interesting as it is created using the remnants of living organisms such as algae, wood, crop, can also be produced by food waste, landfills and fermented crops.

  1. Geothermal Energy- Geothermal energy is not related to the sun unlike other energy. This energy is obtained from the heat of the earth itself. Most of the people use geothermal energy as a source of heating and cooling their homes. The Earth’s heat is used to create geothermal energy to boil water to create steam which then moves the turbines to generate energy.

  1. Hydropower- Yet another source of energy that is technically powered  by the sun is hydro energy but water cycle fuels hydropower. Water is evaporated by the sun, and after that, the clouds are formed that eventually trickle down as rainfall and snow that form rivers, streams and other large water bodies.

Benefits of Clean Energy

  • Reduction in air pollution- The most primary and crucial benefit of clean energy is that it leaves zero carbon footprint and zero pollutants over its production which is an excellent upgrade as compared to ancient fossil-fuels.

  • Replacement of fossil-fuels- Due to  these clean energy resources, we have stepped up our game and have found great alternatives for the endangered fuels as humans have exploited fossil-fuels over a very long duration and now because of it we’re facing a dilemma.

  • Economic benefits- It can grow trade, lessen the costs of fuel imports, stimulate property tax revenue, inspire capital investment.

Conclusion

By finding out different sources of energy and their benefits at individual level, the future seems better. Clean energy is moving green drive to a higher level for the betterment of society. This was an attempt to answer what is clean energy.
